Rick, his sister Monique, and their friend Marco celebrate the end of their school days in the yellowed village disco, NEW YORK. It’s a grand evening, oscillating between euphoria and resignation at the path they’ve taken in life. Many are dressed up: Monique fancies herself as Marilyn Monroe. And Rick thinks it’s funny to dress up as a ladybug—but he’s the only one. Rick doesn’t fit Marco’s self-image. It turns out to be a fateful night.
The entire soundtrack in this film is disguised as club music that seemingly randomly accompanies the action throughout the film.
